About Us

The Chickasaw Inkana Foundation seeks to preserve, protect and interpret Chickasaw history and culture in the historical Chickasaw Homeland, which constitutes not only its epicenter of Tupelo, but greater north Mississippi, west Tennessee, northwest Alabama, and southwest Kentucky.

Chickasaw Nation Governor Bill Anoatubby envisioned the need for a foundation in the historic Chickasaw homeland to serve as a partner development vehicle for Chickasaw history and culture efforts in the region. Inspired by the Jefferson Peace Medal and Chickasaw iconography, the Chickasaw Inkana Foundation logo was developed, and the foundation was organized beginning in early 2014, and obtained IRS 501(c)3 status in 2015.

To continue preserving the past, protecting the present, and interpreting for the future, we have a variety of products highlighting the history and iconography of the Chickasaw Homeland and its people.
